SOP on Operation of Spray Gun 

(for Coating)

1.0 Purpose: This document describes the procedure for operation of Spray Gun used in coating of tablets.

2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff.

3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control Chemist, Production chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.

4.0 Materials and Equipment: 

 As required. 

5.0   Procedure: 

5.01 Check and ensure cleanliness of spray gun.

5.02 Connect the compressed air to spray gun.

5.03 Pour the coating solution in spray gun cup.

5.04 Adjust the flow rate of coating solution.

5.05 Fit the spray gun on its stand and start spraying the solution.

5.05 After completion of coating process, clean the spray gun as per SOP.
