 Calibration of Turbidity Meter

 

1.0  PURPOSE   

 The purpose of the standard operating procedure is to provide guidelines for calibration of

 Turbidity meter.

2.0 SCOPE 

     The scope of this standard operating procedure includes calibration of Viscometer

      (oscillatory).

3.0  RESPONSIBILITY

3.2  Technical Manager

3.3  Q.A. Manager

4.0  PROCEDURE

4.1  Switch on the instrument.

4.2  Using the standard operating conditions start the operations of the instrument.

4.3  Set the instrument at zero.

4.4  Pour the standard turbidity solution in the glass tube / cuvette and measure the turbidity.

4.5  Ensure that the glass tube / cuvette is cleaned/washed before and after use.

4.6  Make the measurements of turbidity in each range of the instrument or in different ranges of

       the Instrument.

4.7  The turbidity shall not differ from the stated values of the reference standards.

4.8  Correlate the observed values of turbidity with the specified/stated values of the reference

       standard and make adjustments, if necessary.
