STANDARD TESTING PROCEDURE FOR ALUMINIUM FOIL PLAIN 182MM×0.05 MM

 

1.0  Objective: The purpose of this STP is to ensure the compliance of quality of 0.04MM Plain Aluminium foil.

2.0   Scope: To establish the standard testing procedure of 0.04MM Plain Aluminium foil in Pharmaceuticals.

3.0   Procedure:

3.1   Description: Plain 0.040mm Aluminium Foil Coated Laminated with  L D P E.   

3.2  Thickness: Measure the thickness of Aluminium foil by vernier caliper at 10 points. Obtained average value should be within limit as per specification.

3.3  Width: Measure the width of Aluminium foil by scale. Obtained value should be within limit as per specification.

3.4  Total GSM: Take 10 x 10 cm of Aluminium foil and, weigh it. The weight of Aluminium foil divide by length and width of foil. The obtained value should be within limit as per specification.

3.5   Foil GSM: Take 10 x 10 cm of Aluminium foil and separate the foil and LDPE layer, weigh the foil only. The weight of  divide foil by length and width of foil. The obtained value should be within limit as per specification.

3.6   LDPE GSM: Take 10 x 10 cm of Aluminium foil and separate the foil and LDPE layer, weigh the LDPE  only. The weight of  LDPE divide by length and width of LDPE. The obtained value should be within limit as per specification.

3.7   Printing: Compare with the Printing as per approved Text. Design and Colour Scheme.

 Pin Hole: Check the pinholes under adequate light with the help of magnifying glass.
