Macroscopy

• Erect, pubescent herb with branched taproot

• Colour – Leaves – green, roots pale grey, flowers – violet, pink white or carmine red

• Leaves – simple, petiolate, ovate – oblong, entire, acute apex

• Flowers – bractate, hermaphrodite, 2-3 cymose axillary cluster

• Fruits - follicle
